Apparently it's haunted...

In NJ, a very basic and uneventful state, there seems to be one thing in West Milford that people actually are excited about. Last summer during the ACT class I was in, a kid had visited this road. I had already heard about the stories and all but was intrigued when I heard that he went up there. I planned it with friends, and finally yesterday we had made it.

With the same name as our previous president, Clinton Rd. happens to be a haunted road with many kinds of happenings there. There is a Druidic temple, a few ghost cars, a ghost boy who likes to play with coins, a mask of death, a message on the road, a burnt down castle, and several sightings of weird monsters crossing the road. So yesterday at 11:47 pm we arrived at the traffic light before Clinton Rd, and there was a sign for it and everything. I can only assume that the gov. wanted to make sure people got to this 10 mile, curving road, safely. The first mile have actual homes with residents, and then it gets dark. With only our navigation system giving us clue to where the road was taking us, I had my eyes peeled for the special spots that were related to sightings. We mentioned the girl with the camaro who had died here, and we saw the location for the druidic temple. We did not stop though, because there is no shoulder to this road, and it seemed that there were residents who used this road regularly and we didn't want to block the road just to check out the possibility that there was something there.
Getting out of the car the first time

The dirt parking lot...if you can even see it
Our first stop was the bridge. Yes, there are about 3 bridges on the road and one of them was special. At the time, we hadn't realized but we parked next to the bridge with the ghost boy. All we did was wander around in the dark and then returned to the car. Then we stopped again by some sort of parking lot, but it was all dirt. There was a message board and signs and a little gap in the trees for people to walk through. We all got our flashlights out and checked the message board, where a paper was taped to. Instantly, a scene from Slender ran through all our minds. The bravest one of us went to the board and read it, I followed behind. Simply, it was a warning for people to take care of their belongings and avoid littering. Then we checked out the walking path and deemed it unsafe at night. Driving a bit more, we had ran through the majority of it and reached the end. Taking a u-turn, we went and stopped at a park. We checked it out, and at night it looked very creepy. Across from it was a large house that overlooked the lake, the driveway even had hairpin turns to get up the rocks. After abandoning the thought of ding dong ditching the large house, we went back and stopped at the bridge again. This time we knew it was the ghost boy one. We walked on the road and there were messages to be found. One read: "This place is" and another read: "He". Unfortunately, the last word for the first message was faded beyond recognition and the rest of the message for the second one was covered up in black spray paint.

Reading the messages
Actually, a lot of the other messages on the road were covered up with black spray paint. We then got out pennies out and started throwing against the edge of the bridge, like we were supposed to. I don't know if the ghost boy brought them out or not but in the dead silence the plop of the coin was creepy enough. There seemed to have been a few accidents there since the concrete blocks were actually shifted from their original position and had black scrape marks on it. There were small traces of car parts and tire marks. After that, we had made our way to the start again and before leaving we checked out the homes here. Many were abandoned or for sale. They were all huge homes with ample space, but of course the myths would scare people off. I actually can't believe that people built homes in the center of the road, where it was the most dense and creepiest.

Even though we hadn't actually seen anything, the drive through was worth it.

Today was more fun. After crashing at a friend's place, we went kayaking in Princeton. It was 7 of my friends. I arrived late and they were already in the water. And in fact, they made it very far in. I had to go full speed to catch up. One of my friends fell into the water and lost his glasses, which were both brand new and costly. Other than that, there wasn't much to report about.

And with that, my job has come to an end.

I started back in October because I wanted some money that I could use for my own stuff. Staying in the job for 9 months now, I have gained a level of authority there and established my sense of purpose, kinda. Working at a restaurant is fun and stressful at the same time. The coworkers were all friends but our shared time to deal with a variety of customers can bring out tension, as any job may do.

Well the day before I hosted a movie night in my house, several friends come over and watch a movie on a big screen. Prior to that was some dinner. We went out for pho. Which I highly recommend. Ending the movie at 12:30 and sleeping at 3, then waking up at 9 for a day at work. It's my last day and it was a full day. I haven't worked many full days before so this was going to stressful again. Today about...65 kids came in due to a summer camp tradition. Then all was quiet since Mondays are usually empty. Until the last our when several groups of people decided that our closing time means nothing to them.

Well after a hot shower, I'm ready to enjoy the last two weeks of summer vacation.

Fear not young ones, as the greatest four years of my life are yet to arrive.

FACK

With only 3 weeks left of this summer vacation and college just around the corner, I am completely unprepared. My goal was to finish up the Assassin's Creed series and that hasn't happened. I didn't watch a lot of anime, which I do every year. And worst off, I lost a lot of days of free time due to work. Well maybe getting bank was worth it. And I went on vacation for 24 days total. So my summer wasn't all that great. The vacations were fun, so if someone asks:

Person: How was your summer?

Me: I went to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Monica, The Grand Canyon, Austin, and Dallas during my summer. What about you?

Person: I hate you for having an exciting life. Cuz I did (insert something way more fun here).

Perhaps now I should try to finish AC 1. Cuz that game is hard af.

Oh and RTX was great. For people who don't know: RTX. It was really fun and worth it. I got to meet so many Rooster Teeth people and see a few more. I would definitely go again, if it didn't cost so much for me to go there.

So we have this new superintendent this year. I think he is from Michigan or something, but the thing is. He hasn't given us any snow days. Even when most other NJ schools closed down, we were open in the mornings. Perhaps, it's because he is from stricter schools and Michigan, but the thing is NJ isn't as prepared as Michigan. Although we are prepared for snow, nonetheless. So basically, the new guy doesn't give us any snow days. Today was our third snow day and he told everyone about it via twitter. First of all, NJ has a law where teachers can't communicate to student over social media and some how this guy gets away with it. First it was about students complaining about PARCC testing. Now he uses it regularly to update students. The thing that annoys most of us is that he uses the weirdest language. Like "brethren" or "fam". Last night, he calmly tweeted that we should stay safe and stay home because we have no school.

Well in any case, I stayed home. I woke up at 1 o'clock and proceeded to play video games. Nothing special. Lunch was ready by the time woke up and I ate that. I then fooled around, watched nonsensical tv and did nothing. Around 6 o'clock I went out in the deep snow and got some snacks from the local Stop and Shop. Upon returning I joined my friends in a game of Titan Fall, and that lasted until 9 o'clock. Then we fooled around on Magika until...now. It seems that I have to "sleep" now so that obviously means get in bed and watch anime until I fall asleep. We have a 90 minute delay tomorrow, courtesy of the superintendent via twitter, and I intend to use it wisely.
So yesterday was Saturday. For me it was NJ States competition for VEX Robotics. Sounds great and all, our team made it. Like usual we made it to the finals. Here's what sucks, right before the semifinals, which we were in, the school closed down. And we were kicked out. Basically it was 3:50 and we all knew the school was going to close due to the heavy snow. They said it was gonna close at 4:30 and we knew we would be done by then. But then they shut down early. All of us had to drive in the snow, knowing that next week we had to continue the finals. It took me 3 hours to get home where it would normally take 1 hour. And I missed work for this.
Today was awful: I went to school.
First I woke up 20 minutes early and decided to pack my books up and go back to bed. Packing the books took me a good 15 minutes because I'm a scrub. Then I made it to my bus in time, but got caught sleeping in my first block class. It's weird because it wasn't even a full sleep, it was a half-*ssed one where my head was down and I was just staring at my notes. And the teacher calls on me and I respond with the right answer, thus completely owning his arse.
The rest of the day went by slow. Nowadays homework seems like a bother and there are days where I don't even have homework even with my AP classes. It's weird and I think that is what brought in my laziness. Last year at this time I was working hard on projects and such but this is my first year with AP classes and I'm really lazy. I'm also gaming and watching anime a lot too.
On the other hand, I got back into Rooster Teeth after finally catching up in Red vs Blue. I left off in season 10 but after Monty Oum had died, I decided to get back into it to see his last works. And of course RWBY. Me and a friend joined the r/rwbyrp and it took us a good 2 weeks to get in, actuall my first and second characters were both rejected and my third one is on it's way to getting approved. My friend got in, but hasn't done much yet. I invite you to check out r/rwbyrp tho, it's really funny.
And then on youtube I was introduced to Filthy Frank. That's all I have to say about that, b0ss. Oh, and watch Kingsmen: The Secret Service. 8/8 movie.
Yesterday our robotics teams went over to BCIT in NJ for a competition. We were already accepted into the states competition but we wanted to prove ourselves. (btw we are Team 750E). We were 1st place for the entire competition and we ended up winning too. This is a great success since we never gotten an award in this season and so yesterday we got the Driver Skills and Excellence Award. We are definitely qualified for states now.
So it's been awhile since I actually touched this blogger. I guess I lost my touch, not that I had any. I figured, for college I could join a gaming/tech journalism company and work like that. Something I enjoy and something I could get a good amount of money from. Plus, it's work from home most of the time. And I figured, a blog with reviews and my comments would act as a great portfolio. So here it is. A portfolio.

Today I have wanted to devote myself fully to completing my summer hw. I woke up, or rather was woken up at 8 am and told that I had karate class at 12. I missed yesterday's class and today would be my second class of karate this year (I'm already a black belt but haven't practiced in two years). So I went to karate and my dad paid for me to attend for a year. When I got home, my rents wanted me to take a shower, a given, and change into religious clothes for an uncalled for pooja. That took an hour and after lunch, we discussed going to Six Flags. My sister was too short for all the roller coasters except for El Toro and Zumanjaro. And she didn't really want to go. Instead my mom forced us all to go to the beach, which I didn't want to do. Frankly, my homework was waiting for me.

It's about time I got back on to this. School been so busy near the end plus I have AP hw during the summer. And let me tell you, AP hw is so time consuming more than it is hard. I mainly have to read 3 books, 2 sections of textbooks, find a bunch of current events, take a test, and define 100s of words. I took AP Comparative Gov, AP Lit Comp, and AP Environ for my senior year. I'm almost done with AP Environ but the rest are barely touched.
On the other hand, I been out biking everyday and sometimes going out with friends miles and miles away from home. My friend that I talk to all the time about anime and stuff is moving away at the end of the month and so he set up a paintball party this weekend. I can't wait for it! He keeps calling me New Gen since I take pictures of everything. I probably should post some here, but I'm not a legit blogger. I'm just here for my own personal enjoyment.

Over the summer there have been so many giveaways. Like MKBHD's LG G3 giveaway, there are several from stacksocial, the OnePlus giveaway from TechnoBuffalo, and the car + computer one from Tek Syndicate https://gleam.io/mw1fK-3V9jiT .
I'm really curious about Tek Syndicate's giveaway since it's Logan car and I'm under 18. So technically, the car will be my dad's and he would have to  "gift" it to me. That is where things could get a bit screwed up since he has my $300 from birthday money and he won't let me spend it on things I want.
So recently, I got a beta key for a MMO called Black Gold. I haven't been in many betas, Elder Scrolls, Quantum Rush, and this. This game was definitely in beta since everything needed polishin', but that's what I'm here for. Me and several other friends all got the keys and so we have been playing for a while. We are also recording our adventures in a different blog so if you want to check that out here you go: (LINK). We even got noticed by the dev of the game so this is exciting! Maybe it can help our gaming clan.

Today I will be going geocaching. It's my second time. Last Friday was my first time with 3 other friends. We got to 4 caches but only 3 of them had prizes. None of us took prizes but it was still fun to bike to the cache and search around for them. And best of all we put a point system for people who found or assisted in finding a cache. Today I think 6 of are going. The others from my group are a maybe since AP testing is still active. And then after caching we will hang out in my friend's house for a while playing brawl and halo. Then we will, including the maybe ppl, go see The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man is my favorite hero and so I really wanted to see this last week but I saved it for this week and so I don't want anything to mess this plan up.

So half way through the school year I switched classes. It's normal in my school, we have half year courses. I ended Astronomy and migrated to Web Animation. When I joined I had no idea what it was, I joined for the heck of it. Now, 2-3 months after the starting point I learned HTML5, CSS. JavaScript, and Bootstrap. My testing website is online for people to check out but it's a bit broken due to issues with the thing that I used to edit the code. Because of that darned thing the page doesn't load directly up to the index and rather to some page with a list of all the files in the webpage. So far the photos, news, and contact tabs work. The news menu is what I worked on the most. Here comes the link. Lel. The link will take you directly to the index page and skips the list page. Comment on what you like and what I should improve with in the comment section at the bottom of the webpage.

For the last two weeks all I have been doing is getting back into normal routine. Spring break, although nice, really screws your working pattern. I've messed up and lost points and been slacking off. I even messed up on a big essay and I feel like I took too long to get back in the groove. Now finally I'm back. This weekend I'm gonna actually work. Yesterday I went biking and geocaching the whole day and today I finished off my work. I got the whole Sunday to relax and be comfortable again.

So yesterday afterschool me and my dad went to AT&T to discuss the new AT&T Next plan. While there, unexpectly, my dad signed up and got us some new phones. As the title may indicate I chose the HTC One M8. Reason being that I trusted HTC since I been using the HTC One X back when it came out. It was tough to choose between the Galaxy S5 and the M8 but I'm glad I chose what I chose. The M8 is so stylish and quick. Sure it may not have the best camera (or a good one) but it still works for all the normal kinds of media you use. 4MP is enough to work with on a phone, tablet, and computer. So there really isn't a problem. I been testing the phone out and I love it. My dad is gonna get either the iPhone 5s or the GS5 next week after the GS5 comes out so that he can compare it and use them properly. I already know that he like iOS over Android but he actually seemed to favor the GS5 at the store yesterday.
For anyone who had the same issue as me and couldn't choose on either the M8 or the GS5, i'd say look at the phone. Which one feels right, which one looks right, and which one matches your style. I'm a clean-cut guy and my clothes are kinda hipster so the M8's metal works fine with me. Both the GS5 and M8 have great specs (identical) so it comes down to camera and appearance and that is completely in the eye of the beholder.
So I found this weekly Sennheiser headphone giveaway. And I am a big sennheiser fan even though I don't have them. So I would really like to win some. http://splur.gy/r/nrB3N/r/2KgpF7BXhFJ
Well not really. I have a friend from the mother land (UK) and he has the greatest accent ever. And he likes to call himself the Emperor and us the Royal Subjects. He thinks I'm a pervert and he tries to get everyone in an awkward situation with relationships. Goddamn. But so now he has a blog of some sort and I just wanted to let people hear the Emperor's Words (But it will never get to you (Kafka reference)). So check it here. I think its empty at the time of this post but hit him up and see what he commands you.

So ya was maybe a really good day. I went to school and got to use my friend's earbuds which are kinda better than my headphones (debatable). And then I got good in volleyball in gym, not like I was bad before. And then I got good progress in my Engineering project. And then I chillaxed in physics. And then the entire English class today was writing our feelings, which is better than reading Kafka. And then I got home and all of a sudden my legs gave up on me. They just died and never got better. As if I ran a marathon. And then I didn't do any hw at all today. I just used the intranet and watched Arrow ep 14. Btw the last 10 minutes of that episode was awesome! Literally mind blasting. Well now I need to catch up in anime so peace out.
